Don't You Arkan"Sass" Me!

On the road again, just can't wait to get on the road again.  I thought bringing Willie Nelson along for the journey might be relaxing.  I know for some, pulling a fifth wheel might seem like a daunting task, but I think I pull it off well!

We made one last stop before leaving Tulsa.  We went over to see Granny and if you all want to, you can say bye to her as well, she is in the doorway peeking out and secretly wishing that I would have pulled in to a ditch so we would have to stay!

 Goodbye Tulsa...
and hello to the world of my husband's gadget dashboard insanity!!!!  But in all seriousness, he is a genius! We truly do need all of these wonderful items, allow me to introduce them to you all.  Gina is on the left, I swear he would leave me for her navigational skills.  Ted is in the middle, he has his Pounds per Square Inch all up in our tire business.  Maggie is on the right and she is the third eye literally covering our rear end.  And last but not least, probably the most important traveling tool to anyone going on even the shortest of road trips, Sput, so even we can jam out on late 80's, early 90's songs whenever we feel the need to let loose.

Not surprising to us, half way into our trip to Arkansas, we are still getting along.  Smile with us and don't judge me for taking my eyes off the road for 1.2 seconds.  *For all the Bennett family members that are following and any of my friends that have taken vacations with me, honk honk, we just passed the state line!*

Only 2 hours after leaving Tulsa, we arrived at our new home for the month.  Yes people, one month because we make our own rules.  Even further more, I know we don't golf but we might just decide to pick it up tomorrow.  I could practice right now if I wanted because I don't think my game would be any better in the daylight.
Now, for those of you who might have noticed the stubble on the Man with No Name, don't worry it will probably get worse before it gets better.  But, being the awesome wife that I am, I'll let it slide.

Away We Go...

Retirement date - March 4th. CHECK
Fun weekend with German cop friend Hauke - March 5th - 8th. CHECK
Moving date since the beginning of this journey - March 8th... NO CHECK
The weather decided not to cooperate with us that morning so we decided to postpone because lets face it, no need to move in the bad weather!!  So we settled back in for one more relaxing day at Edmond's finest - Lake Arcadia.  I think we might be getting the hang of this retirement thing!!  We went to bed at a reasonable hour (for those of you who don't know us really well, that time is 9:00 pm) and got up the next morning at the same time that we normally do (6:00 am) because bad habits are hard to break.  Alas...moving day is finally here!  This feels like Christmas morning!!  We began with packing up the house and loading up all of our toys.

I always get the inside of the house ready while Rich gets to deal with everything outside and the always exciting shi*y situations

We pulled out of the lake and tried to look back but the house is too big so we just said our goodbyes over a subway sandwich and hit the road.  A mere 2 hours later, we were pulling into our new home.

Our conversation went as follows,
M - "Honey, how do you feel about spot 311 for the next 2 weeks?"
R - "I like it, the lake is beautiful and it is going to be easy for me to back in to."
M - "I like it too, it is far away from the playground."

Don't forget to follow us!!
